Bringing motorized shades to the San Francisco Bay Area

Motorized shades, built around your home

When you want to cut down glare and heat but keep your view at the convenience of a single press, SoundVision has you covered.

Why they exist

What the glass is asking for

  • Automatic Protection Against Heat
  • Cover Hard-To-Reach Windows
  • Simplicity: Control at the Touch of a Button
  • Wake Up Naturally

How they sit in the room

Matching your shades

Hide them, let them participate, or frame the view.

  • Oak millwork pocket with cream shades dropping from a hidden slot in the header.

    Disappearing

A pocket in the millwork, a slot behind the trim — when they are up, there is no hardware to find.

  • Palladiom shade lowered over French doors, chrome hardware still visible.

    Complementing

The architectural exposed roller — brackets, tube, and hem meant to be seen.

  • Floor-to-ceiling motorized drapery on a hidden track in a bright bedroom.

    Decorating

Drapery frames the view and stacks off the glass. Your fabric, our track.

Those three are how most shades sit in a room. Unusual openings still get a spec: a triangle of glass two stories up, a run you cannot reach, exterior sun shades on a terrace. If the window is odd, we have probably already measured one — including bottom-up shades, when you want privacy at the street and sky still in the room.

Privacy with a view

See out. Not in.

See out, not in.

Our sheer shades cut down harsh glare and protect your finishes while preserving your vista without allowing onlookers to see in.

On city-facing glass, close Marin lots, and floor-to-ceiling wine-country walls: keep the view, keep the room.

Alongside your team

We work with your designer — not over them

Measure, specify, coordinate with the GC, install, program scenes with the lights, and service for life. Fabric books against their samples. Pockets drawn with the builder. Exterior shades too — we specify Insoroll for terraces and pergolas.

The system we specify

Why customers choose Lutron

Easy to live with is the job: quiet, in unison across large glass, on the same keypad as the lights. We predominantly specify Lutron because it still feels right ten years in — not because it is the only thing that goes up and down.

  • Reliability

Nobody wants a house that will not go dark. Lutron ships when the product is ready, not when the catalog needs a SKU. We install it because it stays installed.

  • In-house

Motors, protocol, keypads — one manufacturer. Compatibility is not a science project on site.

  • Commitment

Quiet travel, unison across a wall of glass, hardware that will last the life of the house — the high-end touches Marin and Bay Area clients already expect.

Cut the sun. Keep the view. Across the Bay Area.

Sunlight, glare, heat, privacy with a view, and a wall of glass that moves with one press. We measure the opening; most of the systems we put in are Lutron for a reason. Marin is home. The work is every reach of the San Francisco Bay Area.
